iPhone 16 lineup will be launching on 9 September and while everybody is talking about it, let us talk about an iPhone which is equally phenomenal. Yes, I am talking about iPhone 16’s predecessor, iPhone 15. This one year old iPhone is very much capable and will beat some top smartphones from other brands. Let us first look at the specifications of this amazing iPhone and then we will discuss three reasons to like it.

Three reasons to like iPhone 15
Reason 1: Amazing software
iPhone 15 comes with iOS 17, and can be upgraded to iOS 18. iOS 17 runs very smooth and in this iPhone, it runs amazingly fast. It comes will all necessary iOS apps like calendar, calculator, notes, messages, FaceTime, etc. All these native apps makes the experience very delightful. Moreover, there is App Store for downloading third party apps and games. All apps run very smoothly on this device and there is hardly any lag seen. I have been using this device since a year and haven’t seen any lag till now. We must admit, Apple really optimises its software so well. We can see the amazing optimisation on the dynamic island present in iPhone 15. It works so well and with apps like music and voice memos, the animations are smooth. iOS makes iPhone even more attractive and with iOS 18, iPhone 15 will become even more capable and powerful.
Reason 2: Amazing hardware
iPhone 15 really comes with some great hardware. The A16 Bionic chip provides more than enough power to this iPhone. All the hardware capabilities like the TrueDepth camera system which facilitates FaceID works amazingly because of the neural engine of the A16 Bionic. The main camera in iPhone 15 is now 48 MP. The increase in megapixels along with Apple’s improvement in camera lenses give rise to amazing photographs. When we talk about video, we know iPhone is the undisputed king. The video quality on iPhones are unbeatable and have always improved and in iPhone 15, video has got even better with Apple improving its many aspects. Apple’s ability to integrate its hardware and software really results in amazing capabilities and especially when we talk about the Apple ecosystem. If you have many Apple devices, you will know how great the ecosystem works.
Reason 3: More affordable than the Pro models
It is true that Apple will always reserve some of its best features for the Pro models, but I think one can survive without those features as well. Pro models are costlier than the non-Pro models and if you have a tight budget and want to have the iPhone experience, then iPhone 15 is the perfect phone. I never felt that I missed something for being on the non-pro model but always appreciated what the device is capable of. Obviously, this again varies from person to person. I am not much interested in details of photographs so the extra missing lens doesn’t make much difference to me but it may make difference to some other. It depends on you whether you need the Pro features or not but iPhone 15 is undoubtedly the best non pro iPhone out there.
