Google Search Console lets you submit URLs of your website to it for indexation. Apart from URLs, you can also submit your sitemap for indexation. If your URLs get successfully indexed, they can appear in Google search results. You also have the option of checking the status of indexation of your URLs by visiting the URL Inspection page.
View the performance of your site: Google Search Console also lets you check how your site is performing on Google search. You can visit the performance page of GSC to check vital statistics like number of clicks, number of impressions, click through rate ( CTR), average position, etc. Apart from that, you can also view vital statistics like countries from where users have visited, which pages they have visited, from which devices they have visited, visiting dates and the queries which brought them to your site. These statistics are vital for the success of any website and Google Search Console lets you view them.
Raise Removal Requests: Sometimes Google indexes pages we don’t want it to index. Or there may be some outdated content which we do not want to appear in search results any more. In these cases, Google Search Console provides the option to raise removal requests. We can access that section by visiting the removals page of Google Search Console. We can also monitor our removal request status there.
Other Issues regarding the website: Apart from the above mentioned features, Google Search Console also reports vital changes to our website like any indexation issues, crawlability issues, mobile friendly issues, etc. It is important for the webmaster to know about these issues, if any exists, and make changes to it as soon as possible for the smooth working of their website and smooth appearance of their website on Google search.
Generate reports: Google Search Console can generate reports of the vital statistics mentioned above and let us export it for evaluation. Reports usually help us in evaluating, comparing and arriving at conclusions regarding our search performance. Reports can also be shared with other tools like Google Analytics to get a better view of of the statistics of our website.
